Volleyball Game Preview: Poudre Impalas vs. Cherry Creek Bruins

The Poudre Impalas will be taking part in a tournament against the Cherry Creek Bruins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Poudre will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Poudre got the win against Pomona by a conclusive 3-0.

Poudre never let Pomona on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-0, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Cherry Creek faced Cherokee Trail in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bruins took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars. The defeat continues a trend for the Bruins in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost four in a row.

Cherry Creek started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-19, 25-16, 25-18.

Cherry Creek now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Poudre, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4.
