Hockinson is still winless after their contest against Mark Morris on Monday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Monarchs. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Hawks' highest-scoring match to date.

Skyler Liddie made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-3. Anthony Cline also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Hockinson's record is now 0-8. As for Mark Morris, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

While Hockinson had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
