Basketball Game Preview: Mather Rangers vs. Harvest-Westminster Warrior-Lions

Having just played yesterday, the Mather Rangers will jump right back in to play the Harvest-Westminster Warrior-Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Mather will be strutting in after a victory while Harvest-Westminster will be coming in after a defeat.

Mather saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They strolled past Illinois Math & Science Academy with points to spare, taking the game 44-26.

Mather's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Kayrhianna Jackson, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and ten steals, and Temilade Yesufu, who went 10-for-21 on her way to 21 points and eight boards. Jackson is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, Harvest-Westminster lost to West Chicago on the road by a 40-23 margin on Wednesday. The loss put an end to the Warrior-Lions' undefeated start to the season.

Harvest-Westminster's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Mather, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Mather came up short against Harvest-Westminster in their previous meeting on Monday, falling 51-39. Can the Rangers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
