Baseball Recap: North Davidson Comes Up Short

If North Davidson was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Grassfield on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights came up short against the Topsail Pirates on Tuesday, falling 13-5. The Knights have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

North Davidson's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Topsail, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. North Davidson will venture away from home to square off against Davie County at 7:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Topsail, they will be taking part in a tournament against South Brunswick at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 3.5, the Cougars 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
