Baseball Recap: Winston Academy Extends Home Winning Streak to Six

Winston Academy got themselves on the board against Winona Christian on Thursday, but Winona Christian never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Winona Christian Stars. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Stars: they've now won six in a row.

Reed Yates was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only three hits, the fewest he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Winston Academy: the team is 8-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise.
