Softball Recap: Forest Comes Up Short

Forest and South Lake squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Forest had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 11-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Forest's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for South Lake, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season.

Forest does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Lake, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 victory against Lake Minneola on the 30th.
