Recap: Academy at the Lakes Wildcats vs. Riverside Christian Wranglers
On Friday, The Academy at the Lakes Wildcats faced the Riverside Christian Wranglers in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Academy at the Lakes fell 24-13 to Riverside Christian. Academy at the Lakes lost against Riverside Christian in their previous head to head back in August of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 51-6 score last time.
Riverside Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from KYLE SPRATLIN , who rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 154 yards and a touchdown. CHRISTIAN MARSHALL was another key contributor, gaining 132 total yards and a touchdown.
Academy at the Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Riverside Christian, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-1.
Academy at the Lakes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Riverside Christian will head out on the road to face off against Donahue Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Donahue Catholic is ranked third, while Riverside Christian is ranked seventh).
