A Region 4 recap November 5, 2013

Hawkinsville and Marion County played the most contested game in A Region 4 this week, with Hawkinsville eventually emerging with a 14-10 victory.

Dooly County led the league in scoring this week by notching 48 points on Greenville.

Corey Tanner was a key player and the best on defense this week as Schley County fell to Pacelli. The 5-foot-8 defensive lineman recorded 1 fumble.

Jaqwon Roberts threw for 125 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 10-15 with 0 interceptions.

Tra Minter provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Wildcats lost to the Vikings. He completed 8 passes for 97 yards and also ran for 88 yards. Minter's favorite target this week was Matt Corbin, who caught 7 passes for 92 yards.

Roberts put up the best numbers in passing as Brookstone bested Central. Roberts' favorite target this week was Mark McVay, who caught 4 passes for 47 yards.

Pacelli's Wyatt Peterson and Brian Foster led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Peterson has thrown for 1,071 yards this season, while Foster has 35 catches for 422 yards. Minter from Schley County leads the league in rushing with 1,390 yards.

The Red Devils are in third place, while Randy Grace's team is in second place.

Hawkinsville made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,294 from 6,867. The advance stemmed from a 14-10 victory over the Eagles last week.
