Baseball Recap: North East's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

North East had lost ten games straight , but after bumping their record up to 2-12 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They blew past the Joppatowne Mariners 13-3. The Indians' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Brysen Keithley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Keithley was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Hunter Pettorossi was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Gavin Bolender, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

North East hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Joppatowne struck out 11 times.

As for Joppatowne, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly ten runs.

On Joppatowne's side, they saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Figueroa, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

As of now, neither North East nor the Mariners have any future games scheduled.
