Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Khobie Magana and Selena Rico Lead Wonderful College Prep Academy to Victory

Wonderful College Prep Academy won the last time they faced Corcoran and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Wolves put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20, 25-18.

Leading Wonderful College Prep Academy to victory were Selena Rico and Khobie Magana. Rico had seven digs, two blocks, and two aces, while Magana had eight kills, six digs, and two aces. Those eight kills gave Magana a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rebecca Gonzalez, who had 17 digs and two assists.

They weren't the only good servers: Wonderful College Prep Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matchups.

Wonderful College Prep Academy's record now sits at 16-8-2. As for Corcoran, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12-3 record this season.

Wonderful College Prep Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 victory against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy on the 25th. As for Corcoran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Granite Hills on the 25th.
