Baseball Recap: Meade County Green Waves vs. Waggener Wildcats
Meade County waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Waggener Wildcats a 15-0 shutout. With that victory, the Green Waves brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Tristan Cockerill was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Cockerill was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. That stolen base was his first of the season.
