Softball Game Preview: DeForest Norskies vs. Oregon Panthers

The DeForest Norskies will venture away from home to face off against the Oregon Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

DeForest lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Janesville Craig, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Norskies put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 15-4 victory on Monday. The Norskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by eight runs or more this season.

Oregon let Monona Grove stack four runs on them in the third inning on Thursday but luckily Oregon prevailed anyway. The Panthers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Silver Eagles. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Silver Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

DeForest's record now sits at 6-7. As for Oregon, their record is now 4-6.

DeForest came out on top in a nail-biter against Oregon when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 4-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Norskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
