Softball Recap: Cashton Extends Winning Streak to Six

Cashton entered their tilt with Necedah on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Cardinals. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Cardinals back in April, they had to take a 12-5 defeat.

Cashton pushed their record up to 13-6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Necedah, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Cashton will welcome Wauzeka-Steuben at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Necedah, they will head out on the road to challenge Bangor at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
