Loris put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Socastee Braves 50-6. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 14-13 win the Braves walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Loris to victory, but perhaps none more so than Khalid Sherman, who rushed for 139 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Sherman's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards. Jacobien Lewis was in the mix as well, providing Loris with two scores.
Loris' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Landon Conner was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three sacks himself. Those three sacks set a new season-high mark for him.
Loris' record is now 5-0. As for Socastee, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Loris and Socastee will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Lions see the field they'll take on Dillon at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Socastee, their break will end when they face Carolina Forest at 7:05 p.m. on October 3.
