Basketball Preview: Aquinas Academy Crusaders vs. Tri-State Christian Crusaders
Aquinas Academy is 1-9 against the Crusaders since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Aquinas Academy Crusaders will be playing at home against the Tri-State Christian Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. Aquinas Academy is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Aquinas Academy ended up a good deal behind the Griffins and lost 51-33. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Aquinas Academy has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Tri-State Christian can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They breezed by Providence Christian Academy at home to the tune of 59-24. The win was familiar territory for Tri-State Christian who now have three in a row.
Jackson Sartin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 25 points along with five steals and two blocks. He has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last six times he's played. Jeremiah Falko was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Aquinas Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Tri-State Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.
Things could have been worse for Aquinas Academy, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 68-51 loss to the Crusaders when the teams last played back in January.
