Baseball Recap: Astronaut Comes Up Short

If Astronaut was riding high fresh off their 10-1 takedown of East River on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The War Eagles fell 7-4 to the Mount Dora Hurricanes on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the War Eagles of the 5-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2021.

Astronaut saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Stevens, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run.

Astronaut's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Astronaut will head out to square off against Viera at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mount Dora, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Edgewater at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
