Baseball Recap: V.R. Eaton Takes a Loss

V.R. Eaton lost against Trinity back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 5-4. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hayden Sawyers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-2. Masen Malone was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

V.R. Eaton's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Trinity, they moved to 13-7-2 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

While V.R. Eaton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
