Basketball Recap: Bourgade Catholic Comes Up Short

Bourgade Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Highland Prep Honey Badgers 46-11. The match marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Bourgade Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Highland Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bourgade Catholic will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gilbert Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Highland Prep and Tonopah Valley will compete for holiday cheer at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Highland Prep's defense has only allowed 22.2 points per game this season, so Tonopah Valley's offense will have their work cut out for them.
