Softball Game Preview: East Lawrence Eagles vs. Cullman Bearcats

The East Lawrence Eagles will venture away from home to square off against the Cullman Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. East Lawrence has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

East Lawrence is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They lost 21-5 to Good Hope. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Raiders since February 21, 2020.

Meanwhile, Cullman suffered their closest loss since April 16, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of Jasper by a score of 4-2.

Cullman has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. East Lawrence's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.
