Basketball Game Preview: St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors vs. Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion

The St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors will face off against the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

St. Thomas More Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Thales Academy Apex just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. The contest between them and the Titans didn't end well, with St. Thomas More Academy falling 53-37. While losing is never fun, the Chancellors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Titans are ranked 193rd).

Meanwhile, Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill's game on Thursday was all tied up 15-15 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 31-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of Thales Academy Rolesville.

St. Thomas More Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-10. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

St. Thomas More Academy strolled past Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a score of 40-21.
