Baseball Game Preview: Vanoss Wolves vs. Dibble Demons

The Vanoss Wolves will square off against the Dibble Demons at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Vanoss' hitters haven't had much luck over their past three contests, but Monday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Vanoss' offense. They came up short against Stroud on Friday, falling 8-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Wolves were not able to get on the board.

Vanoss saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Sheppard, who went 1-for-2 with one double. Allen Esparza also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Dibble fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Stroud on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 9-2 to the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Demons have suffered since April 22, 2025.

Kaden Barnett put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 7.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed over his last three matchups. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.

Vanoss now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Dibble, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.
