Basketball Game Preview: Eagle Valley Devils vs. Chatfield Chargers

The Eagle Valley Devils will challenge the Chatfield Chargers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Eagle Valley is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Eagle Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-47 to Dakota Ridge.

Despite the loss, Eagle Valley got top-tier performance from Addison Mandeville, who went 9 for 15 en route to 20 points and five boards. The dominant performance gave Mandeville a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Abby Talbot, who posted eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Eagle Valley was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dakota Ridge only posted three assists.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Chatfield on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Bear Creek with a sharp 56-30 win. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 24 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Chatfield and bumps their season record up to 5-8. As for Eagle Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.
