Soccer Recap: Hillsborough Comes Up Short

Hillsborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Bernards Mountaineers. While losing is never fun, Hillsborough can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 220th, while Bernards are ranked tenth).

Hillsborough now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Bernards, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

Coming up, Hillsborough will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Manville at 4:00 p.m. As for Bernards, they will venture away from home to take on Somerville at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
