Baseball Recap: Lincoln Christian's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Falls City on Thursday, Lincoln Christian came back down to earth. Lincoln Christian fell just short of Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy by a score of 6-4 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Crusaders have suffered since April 17, 2024.

Ian Brester was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Maddox Eppenbach also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lincoln Christian fell to 4-1. As for Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lincoln Christian is set to face off against their familiar foe Lincoln High at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy will square off against rival Bennington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
