Volleyball Recap: Flanagan-Cornell Falcons vs. Tri-Valley Vikings
Flanagan-Cornell lost against Tri-Valley back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Falcons fell 2-0 to the Vikings. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
While Flanagan-Cornell ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17.
Kora Edens paced Flanagan-Cornell's offense, picking up five kills. Edens got some help from Billie Jo Shehorn and her five assists. Emme Wallace controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Tri-Valley can attribute much of their success to Lauren Louck, who had ten assists and three aces. Louck is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Maren Milton also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.
Flanagan-Cornell's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Tri-Valley, they pushed their record up to 13-4 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Flanagan-Cornell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Ridgeview on the 2nd. As for Tri-Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against El Paso-Gridley on the 2nd.
