Baseball Recap: Tocoi Creek Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Tocoi Creek ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against the West Nassau Warriors by a score of 10-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Toros.

Carter Lawrence looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Tommy Glasspoole was a standout: he scored three runs while going 2-for-5. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mikey Bergamo, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Tocoi Creek's record now sits at 15-5. As for West Nassau, their loss dropped their record down to 11-8.

Coming up, Tocoi Creek will be playing at home against Providence School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Nassau, they will venture away from home to face off against Union County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
