Softball Recap: Cumberland Comes Up Short

Cumberland lost against Northwestern back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Beavers lost 18-4 to the Tigers.

Cumberland saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Monchilovich, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Cumberland's loss dropped their record down to 10-10-1. As for Northwestern, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-2.

Looking ahead, Cumberland will square off against Spooner at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Northwestern, they will head out to challenge Ladysmith at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers are facing the Lumberjacks at the right time seeing as the Lumberjacks are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
