Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Hugo

Hugo put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against the Tishomingo Indians. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-4 on Monday.

Dk Wilson made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dakota Coulter, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Maliki Gillean, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Hugo's record now sits at 3-0. As for Tishomingo, they dropped their record down to 0-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hugo will head out to square off against McAlester at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tishomingo, they are taking a road trip to face off against Seminole at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
