Soccer Game Preview: Red Bank vs. East Ridge

The Red Bank Lions will square off against the East Ridge Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Red Bank's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

East Ridge is facing Red Bank at the wrong time: Red Bank suffered their first home loss of the season on Tuesday and they're likely out for redemption. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 1-0. Red Bank fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Soddy Daisy since on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, East Ridge strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their defense stepped up to hand Rhea County a 2-0 shutout. The final result isn't all the surprising considering East Ridge's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 20th, while Rhea County are ranked 127th).

Serjio Loaroca Lucas and Erik Garcia Ramirez scored both of East Ridge's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

East Ridge pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Red Bank, they now have a losing record of 3-4-1.
