Volleyball Recap: Moreno Valley Takes a Loss

Moreno Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hemet Bulldogs.

Moreno Valley started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 19-25, 25-19, 26-24, 15-12.

Moreno Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Hemet, their win ended a nine-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-17.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moreno Valley will face off against Liberty at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bison will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hemet, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Citrus Hill at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
