Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Berwick). They never let MMI Preparatory School get on the board and left with a 21-0 win on Wednesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Like Lake-Lehman, Berwick also got a great game from a two-way player: Morgan Siegel. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave Siegel a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Welsh, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and two triples. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Hunter, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Lake-Lehman pushed their record up to 15-1 with the win, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Berwick, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Lake-Lehman has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Berwick struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Lake-Lehman took their victory against Berwick in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 8-2 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
