Recap: Urbana Hillclimbers vs. Graham Local Falcons
Even though the Graham Local Falcons scored an imposing 61 points on Friday, the Urbana Hillclimbers still came out on top. Urbana enjoyed a cozy 77-61 win over Graham Local. Given Urbana's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Graham Local is ranked 491st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Peyton Mounce was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 15 rebounds. The match was her 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyza Forson, who scored 19 points.
Urbana's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.6 points per game. As for Graham Local, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.
Urbana will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Bellefontaine at 7:30 p.m. Bellefontaine has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Graham Local won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Allen East at 1:30 p.m. on December 30th. Allen East will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
