Baseball Recap: Lake Placid Has No Trouble Against Discovery

Lake Placid made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Discovery, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Dragons were the clear victors by a 10-3 margin over the Spartans on Monday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Dragons considering their one-run performance the match before.

Ricky Barajas made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cane Allaire, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. August Stivender was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

The victory snapped Lake Placid's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-14 record. As for Discovery, they dropped their record down to 7-13 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.
