Volleyball Recap: Chaminade Takes a Loss

Chaminade came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Loyola Cubs, falling 3-0. The Eagles have struggled against the Cubs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Loyola scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 25-17.

Chaminade's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Loyola, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 24-4.

Looking ahead, Chaminade will take on Crespi at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Celts at the right time seeing as the Celts are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Loyola, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Francis at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Golden Knights will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Cubs surely won't give up without a fight.
