There's no place like home for Whittier Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They slipped by the Arrowhead Christian Eagles 7-6 on Friday. The seven-point effort marked the Heralds' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Whittier Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Josepablo Gutierrez and Tuff Kovacs.

Whittier Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Arrowhead Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Whittier Christian will face off against rival Western Christian at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. Meanwhile, Arrowhead Christian is set to square off against their familiar foe Linfield Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
