Football Recap: Splendora Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Splendora extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 2-6. They were outmatched by the Dayton Broncos and fell 34-7. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 733rd, while the Broncos are ranked 236th).

Brayden Hinton threw for 95 yards on eight of 23 attempts. Tj Burch was his top target, picking up 77 receiving yards. On the ground, Caison Young rushed for 43 yards.

As for Dayton, their win bumped their record up to 5-3. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won three games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Denim Foster had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 62 yards and three scores, while also throwing for 208 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 73.9% of his passes. Dayton is 4-1 when Foster posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Jesse Price also helped out with an impressive 137 receiving yards.

Splendora has already played their next contest, a 54-19 defeat against Lake Creek on the 30th. As for Dayton, they will square off against West Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
