Baseball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Ribault Trojans, falling 17-4. The Generals were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Riverside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Skipper, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave Skipper a new career-high in stolen bases. Colin Dubose was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Ribault, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Looking ahead, Riverside will host Mandarin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ribault, they will head out to face off against Paxon School For Advanced Studies at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
