Baseball Recap: Stagg Takes a Loss

After flying high against Chavez last Monday, Stagg came back down to earth. Stagg came up short against the Franklin Yellowjackets on Wednesday, falling 7-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Delta Kings in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost three in a row.

Stagg saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Morones, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Stagg's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-4. As for Franklin, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

While Stagg had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
