Softball Recap: Fort Loramie Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Fort Loramie had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Russia Raiders 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Redskins have posted since April 5, 2024.

Katelyn Poeppelman was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kendall Tennery, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 2-7. As for Russia, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Fort Loramie will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Houston at 5:00 p.m. As for Russia, they will head out to face off against St. Henry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
