Baseball Recap: Palisades Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Palisades was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pen Argyl Green Knights. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Green Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Palisades got a good showing from Shane Schuback, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Palisades saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Camp, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Palisades' record now sits at 1-1. As for Pen Argyl, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Palisades will take on rival Salisbury Township at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pen Argyl is set to face off against their familiar foe Jim Thorpe at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
