Softball Recap: West Salem Picks Up 12th Consecutive Victory

West Salem faced McNary in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Titans were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Celtics. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matches by seven runs or more this season.

The win (which was West Salem's 12th in a row) raised their record to 18-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. As for McNary, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-6.

Coincidentally, West Salem and McNary will both be playing South Salem the next time they take the field. The Titans will head out to face the Saxons at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Celtics will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
