Marion has gone 9-1 against Moundridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. Marion has given up an average of 11.5 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Marion came up short against Little River on Friday, falling 18-4. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marion saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lander Smith, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Lane Smith was another, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, after only one run in their last matchup, Moundridge made sure to put some runs up on the board against Inman on Friday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 13-7 margin over the Inman Teutons. Considering the Wildcats have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Moundridge, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-3.

Everything went Marion's way against Moundridge when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Marion made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
