Softball Recap: Holbrook Comes Up Short

Holbrook kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 12-2 to the Westwood Warriors. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Holbrook saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaycee Greer, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. The dominant performance also gave Greer a new career-high in hits (two).

The win got Westwood back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Holbrook will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Ganado at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Westwood, they will be taking part in a tournament against ALA - Queen Creek at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
