Basketball Recap: Sayre's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Sayre didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past the Henry County Wildcats with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 67-52. The win was nothing new for the Spartans as they're now sitting on four straight.

Sayre has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Henry County, they dropped their record down to 1-16 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Sayre wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 39-35 loss against Bluegrass United on the 24th. As for Henry County, they will head out on the road to challenge Owen County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
