The biggest upset of the week belonged to Valley Christian, who took down 795th ranked Heritage Christian, 35-14. Jonathan Nicholson ran for 223 yards in the win.
Whittier Christian extended the longest winning streak in Olympic this week by beating Maranatha, 24-14. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Brandon Bynum was the best wideout in the league this week as the Crusaders topped the Warriors. Bynum tallied five receptions for 56 yards.
Ryan Esslinger put up the best numbers through the air as Whittier Christian bested the Minutemen. He finished with a total of 13 completions for 110 yards and one touchdown. Esslinger's favorite target this week was Cody Bronkar, who caught six passes for 55 yards.
Whittier Christian's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Heralds feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Esslinger has thrown for 2006 yards and 22 touchdowns this season, while Bronkar has 59 catches for 674 yards. JP Marquez leads the league in rushing with 782 yards.
A big matchup in Olympic this week will be when Village Christian takes on Heritage Christian. At the moment, the Crusaders are in second, while Terrance Johnson's team is in third.
Valley Christian moved up to 761 from 824 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Erick Streelman's team was able to make move up by topping the Warriors 35-14.
