Baseball Game Preview: Kent Denver Sun Devils vs. Forge Christian Fury

The Kent Denver Sun Devils will head out to challenge the Forge Christian Fury at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kent Denver will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

While Kent Denver's win against Jefferson Academy wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Sun Devils had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 1-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 16, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Not much got past Will Goldmanis, who gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks to keep Jefferson Academy off the board.

On the hitting side, Kent Denver saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Levi Pollyea, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Forge Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell just short of Peak to Peak by a score of 3-2. The contest marked the Fury's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Kent Denver's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Forge Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Kent Denver has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Forge Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Kent Denver came out on top in a nail-biter against Forge Christian in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 10-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sun Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
