Baseball Game Preview: Fordson Tractors vs. Cass Tech Technicians

The Fordson Tractors will challenge the Cass Tech Technicians at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with nine losses in a row, Fordson turned things around against Crestwood on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 13-6 victory. The Tractors' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last four games.

Meanwhile, Cass Tech posted their closest win since April 22nd on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Ecorse 5-3.

Kyle Terry made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, Chris Hooper was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Cass Tech's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 41-11-1. As for Fordson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-11.
