Abilene managed to slip by Wylie the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Abilene Eagles came up short against the Wylie Bulldogs on Thursday, falling 15-8. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Abilene's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Wylie, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-3-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, Abilene and Wylie will both be playing Memorial the next time they take the field. Wylie will head out to face Memorial at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Abilene will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
