Softball Recap: Hebron Takes a Loss

Hebron's last matchup with Hanover Central could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Thursday. The Hawks lost 17-1 to the Wildcats. The Hawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in May of 2023.

Addison Toczek was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Hadley Donovan was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Hebron and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Hanover Central, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-7.

Hebron has already played their next match, a 5-1 loss against South Central on the 9th. As for Hanover Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 13-2 win against Glenn on the 10th.
