Recap: Vacaville Christian Falcons vs. Highlands Scots
If the Vacaville Christian Falcons were riding high off their 60-40 takedown of the Esparto Spartans last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Vacaville Christian took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highlands. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the defeat, Vacaville Christian saw an underclassman step up: Tai Douglas scored 20 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Douglas has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Adam Foreman, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Vacaville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Highlands, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vacaville Christian will take on San Juan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. San Juan comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Highlands, they will head out on the road to take on Esparto at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
